I have to give this kid credit. He did get right back up and start riding after he walked it off. Cudos to the dad too for not making a big deal about it and helping his son learn.

I kept waiting to see him park his Audi under a Peterbilt. He needs to spend some time in jail married to the guy with the most cigarettes. Ninja jerk offs too.

What a great find! And quite instructional, too.

    Two take-aways:

    1. Design of motorcycle tires and suspension improved greatly since the film was made.

    2. I have a good excuse to gain weight this holiday season. It's for a good cause: controlling high-speed weave.

Hhmm...I think an injury assessment would not have been too far out of the park as he did auger in pretty good for a little guy. I don't see a neck brace either. Sorry, just a Dad, a grandpa, and an EMT, so don't shoot me. I just think a once over assessment and 'look where you want to go' may have been in order. I'll go back to my beer now. ;)

I was thinking the same thing. I get that not everyone deals with shit the same way, but I know my first move (instinct) would have been to get off my bike and make sure my kid was not hurt or broken.

Glad it seemed to have worked out and kudos to the boy for getting back on and riding it home. What a trooper!

I had a 850 commando in '72, never experienced any of that, it was like on rails. The xs 650 I had before the Norton, used to get in to a weave of a sort when going around fast sweepers, it was like it had a hinge in the middle, it was steady enough when going straight though. Those days it was a norm to sit on 90mph, cops being fairly scarce.

Every time I see a video like this it chips away a little bit more at my admiration for MotoGP riders. These real-road racers are the bravest--and craziest--bastards on two wheels. The occasional padding in front of trees and stone walls is hilarious. They might as well line the course with bayonets.

The fact that there remain places on earth where you can still do this kind of shit gives me hope for humanity.

Imagine that... a flattened profile rear tire makes the bike handle worse.

I have had my 73 Z1 to 80-90 mph many times, never experienced weave or wobble, I must be heavy enough!!:clap
