Burger Barn in Oshwegen, on the way to or from Port Dover. Great burgers! Huge place in the middle of nowhere.

At the south end of the main drag. Great espresso, baked on the premises goodies and a light assortment of Kawartha Dairy's finest.

    Hey, that's Norland!
That restaurant has been there for ever but I've never eaten there.
I always heard it's good though.

Norland is the only place I've seen a drive in church. Used to be just
North of the restaurant close to the Esso station. The sign said
"Come as you are, Stay in your car."

Had a cottage near Norland when I was a kid in 60s. There was nothing like fine dining or anything close to it in Norland at that time I can tell you.

The closest beer was in the hotel in Coboconck. It was the old two entrance type place. Men's door and Ladies and Escorts door.

I guess that's my next weekend ride. Go up and see how everything has changed since I was a lad.

For those not familiar with the Ottawa area or Eastern Ontario, most gas stations on the main and even the secondary roads have "chip wagons" parked on them.

They are generally old vehicles like school busses converted to house some deep fryers and a range.

When I ride to Ottawa from Toronto, I generally take the long way via Hwy. 15 from Kingston. It is longer but a much more pleasant ride IMO.

There are several chip wagons on the route, but I generally stop at the one where Hwy. 15 meets Hwy 43 (I think its 43. The one that goes to Westport).

My favourite chip wagon in the world. I'm certain there are many who will disagree Chip wagons are like opinions. Everyone has a favourite.

Highly recommend the Meldrum Bay Inn on Manitoulin Island. Not just a great place to eat, but a great place to stay too.

that's a great place in a little town that I think has about 40 residents at most, great people. Last time I was there they had hummingbird feeders hanging outside, so we had these supersonic little birds zipping over out heads like we are not there. Good free camping not too far away by an inland lake.

Home made Italian in a Mom & Pop operation in Beeton called Mr Gigi's and reasonable $$ too. Pic of the Spaghetti which is tasty but if it's on try the Eggplant Parm

Right across the street form the Muddy Waters Hotel
