I still wanna do it, comes down to a lack of time, sliding priorities and scope creep.

Looks like a very sweet set up, but I have a question. What made you choose the 39's instead of the 41's. :ear

    couple reasons:

I don't really need more peak HP, so higher intake velocities are better for improved response, greater potential for flatter torque curve and also lower possibility of bogging from too quickly opening the throttle.

At this point these are all theory. I am helping get a 41mm pair setup and installed on a SE in Cali. We are going to be trying to do a comparison of riding/running experience when we are completed. I am waiting on my cables and the SE is not running correctly yet so we still have a ways to go.

The 41's are a big mistake on the SE. Leave 'em for the SM's...

Hmmmm.... bummer, he already has them. Can you tell me why you feel that they are a big mistake? too hard to control throttle input to result in a ridable off road 950?

Limited off road traction, depends on how you use your SE.

They're simply too big for the cams. Modulation will suffer, Mileage will suffer.

I personally would opt for the 39's on anything that didn't run the R cams.

    Powercell,
Then another question, if you please, would these cams be from the 2007 SDR, are they just a drop in mod or do you need to open it up more, and is their anything else you would recommend when running the 41's?:ear

I have been diggin online and can't find a SMR or SDR online fiche that references the cams.

based upon quick search so far looks like all other models use the same cam

Top of my head without looking up my specs.
Adv cam lift is .353 and the standard Sd lift was .408 with more duration.
Not that there is any reason why I would know this:evil .
