Not sure. Ordering a player to get a medical evaluation seems pretty harmless.

Refs already tell players to leave for a medical issue, remember. Any blood and the player is off immediately.

You'll have to explain to me what went wrong here.

In MLS this evening a Colorado player took a hard-struck ball squarely in the head. He sat down and looked dazed.

MLS refs are taught to give head injuries a priority. The ref stopped the game (the ball was still in play) and called out the trainer. Within a minute the player was on the sidelines. His head coach, Pablo Mastroeni, has a history of concussions. He tried to talk the player out of rejoining the game, even though the guy was fully alert.

Would you prefer that? Or how it was handled in the World Cup?

excuse me - ARG scored in the 1st half .... the game should have ended 1-0

it was not offsides .... or only 1 mm .... that's the way it goes ... this will hurt awhile .... maybe Copa America will offer some consolation ... :cry

If Higuain had buried his chance Argentina would probably own the World Cup right now. Germany were the better team, but could easily have lost.

:huh you need glasses, mate. Off-side by a mile.

In other news, Dunga is rumored to be the next manager of Brazil. His last time in charge he made them a turgid defensive team that lost in the quarters. Doesn't sound like much of an improvement on big Phil. They probably won't lose 7-1 though.

I love it. Jumping in with gloating trash talk long after the tournament is done and dusted, that's just classy as all hell. :lol3

Must be a Latin type, right? If only he had the untrembling stiff upper lip of the English...

(I'd find a picture of a tearful Terry but Sid might put me on ignore. :D )
