Excellent choice of bikes!!!!!
I've been in love with that bike since the first time I saw one,XTZ 3AJ around the 1989/90
How's the weather also, hope it's not going to be a problem too, the first camping trip is the most important as it can put people off if it's a bad experience.
Hope all is well.
Perfect start to a camping trip - you packed the tools, hellinox, AND the coffee!
Fuel cap wouldn't unlock. Took about 5 minutes of hitting it to get it open. Then pulled it apart and took the locking mechanism out.
Now having an orange coffee and traveling along fine.
The weather is spot on. I have winter gloves and a balaclava.
I'm too forgetful and stupid to be put off doing it again and again.
G'day Mouse and Nanin
I have liked XT's since I was 13 in the early 80's and an older kid let me ride his s XT500.
This ones on club rego so about $50 year.
Nice and warm here at Cobar this morning.
Love this time of year, best time for riding and camping good luck.
3rd day and finally on the dirt after 2 bay dirt free days.
I can carry a full slab though. 12 in the cooler bag and 12 on top. Also the tank is a perfect table to put a can.
I don't think I could ask for anything more.
Near Broken Hill
Good stuff mate. I like your bike
Got to love getting out and about on the bikes and camping when it suits you.
Enjoy the trip. Bloody cracking tome of year to go inland a bit. Good on you and I wish I was there.
Iconic bike on a great looking trip...
Great bike and nice photos. Enjoy.
I wish my own original model XT600 Tenere had never been stolen. It's the only bike I ever sold, then bought back. The day I bought it back it was stolen from outside work.
With a full tank.
I never realised you could have such a cunt of a time riding a motorcycle.
I had to sit here in the shade and have a few beers to realise it was was worth it
By this time I can't give a shit about the ride in it's time to finish setting up and have a beer
