After info on Finke river crossing from Alice into town of Finke or if coming from Alice to St Theresa then Old Andado track.

So may head west. To New Criwn then across the sandy river into Finke or south cross dry river to Mt Dare.

Are these 3!options doable in 1200' s loaded with gear!
    ?????????
We ride sand but ignite Finke river sand is deep and soft....... has anyone done on big Adventure bikes???????

Hi Adman. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find an instant brotherhood with your fellow riders here. TONS of information is available here on just about any topic.

If I may suggest, you may get a lot better response if you give us a better idea of what you are asking about. Remember, the audience is global and many folks probably don't have a clue as to where Finke , Alice, St. Theresa and Old Andado are. Let alone New Criwn and Mt Dare.

Of course I could google all these places but most folks won't bother.

Have a great ride and report back to us with pics and a ride report please! We want to see it!

Hi @Adman bmw , ive not been on those roads in a long long time, better to post in the oz forum http://advrider.com/index.php?forums/australia.32/ for current conditions, a lot of guys are headed or are there for the finke desert race... I do remember the rocks to Mt Dare, they would not be pleasant on a big bike.

For @Zubb these areas are north west ish of the simpson desert in central oz :-)
