I have not found a fix for this yet but some pics that are embedded through hotlinking do not show up for me. It seems that FF is blocking certain sites and I have no clue how to stop it. It seems to only happen if you're running FF on certain Linux distros.

Here's one post they don't show for me. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/bikes-n-mountains.686801/page-149#post-34994550

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the pics unblocked?

No solutions but I will add that FF seems to be blocking many things/sites,eg a site which is fully functional via Safari shows an error code when accessed via FF at the same time, separate window.
Also, sites which are pic heavy- such as a real estate, sometimes show no photos at all.

I think Mozilla has finally screwed the pooch for good...

Just been updated to Firefox 60 (32 bit) and all the images show in the page of the linked thread?

That is what I have, and everything seems to work except I can no longer post. (I am posting this with Edge.)

Oddly, I can edit an old post, but I can't post anything new.

Jeez, I don't think I am technically literate enough to figure that out...

What happens when you hit "Reply to post"?

If I hit Post Reply, I just get an error message, because I can't type anything to post. Nor, can I insert a quote.

I am out in the garage now, where I have 52.8.0, and it works fine.

OK, it just got weirder: I came back to my desktop, and posted to ThumperTalk, and it worked.

So, maybe it is just incompatible with Waindigo.

Edit: Maybe I should also mention that the usual phrase, "Your brilliant reply" no longer appears in the space where I used to be able to type.

Have you tried the delete cookies and clear cache trick? That will help sometimes.

I am running a custom faptop with Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya with Cinnamon desktop and Firefox Quantum 60.0.1

Took your advice, but to no avail.

I think you may be right about the aliens, but apparently, they do not bother with old technology: my ancient laptop, running Windows XP and Firefox 52.8.0 works fine, but my desktop, and my netbook, both with Windows 10 and Firefox Quantum 60.0.1, have the problem.

I should mention that previous versions of Quantum worked fine, just the latest update has caused this problem.

Good news, and (not really) bad news.

The bad news is, we may never know what was wrong.

The good news in that I don't care, because either they fixed the bug, or the problem cured itself... or, maybe the aliens found a new sport.

In any case, everything is working fine now.

Edit: I spoke too soon, my desktop is working again, but I just checked my netbook, and it still has the problem. Maybe if I just wait a little longer?....

The pic issue I was having when I posted this thread is still an issue. In place of the pics, I see [ IMG ] in bold font.
