    Saturday, no mega hang overs. 2 loops, DS split, bragging rights and ride the single track loop up the ski runs. Ride a trials on the DS bike. Leaves Saturday afternoon for a DS spin or score. Sunday is open for killer riding around Sip or watch, score or borrow a trials bike and ride Sunday's event.

    Options = Happy - Happy - Happy.:freaky

    So what are you thinking here? Ride the loop and run them through novice or amateur lines? We can't have them rutting out the lower class sections, can we?
    Riding the loops up there is about the best ST that can get and we need to get them to try some observed sections but I'm not sure how to do that without setting some up just for DS. ear

    So on Saturday is there any kind of "stock" class at the trial event for full size bikes (WR450)???. I think it would be fun to at least try a trial courses.

    That is what we are working on. I believe that you will be allowed to ride the loop (which is in and around the ski area itslelf, including the slopes).
    I thought that we were going to set some separate sections for full sized bikes as I don't think the NMTA will allow them into the actual sections set by the club. The lower classes are full of kids and stuff and a full sized bike would not only intimidate them but if a big bike rolled a big rock into a line, it wouldn't be good for them. We'll see, but there will be something, I'm sure.
    I think a nice wet creek section with a turn would be a riot for the big bikes! :muutt

    If we set about 4 sections for big bikes, they could get their fill of it IMO. They could ride them un-limitied times until they either cleaned them or gave up!!

    One thing that will be real cool about this event is that everyone will get a nice preview of the stuff available for the upcoming moto-trials national that NMTA will be hosting on Aug 3-4. Pat Smage, Cody Webb, etc. will be riding in that one. Hard to believe that the very best in the country will be back to tackle this area! :clap

    Bruce and I have talked about it. They will ride the same sections, 8 sections, 2 loops. There will be a separate DS line in each section or combined with the beginner/novice line. There should be no real hard stuff to ride. The challenge will be to get to each section, park and walk it.

    A WR would be a great bike to ride in the DS trials. I will ride all sections on my XR250, Bruce will ride in the sections on his KTM 525. It will be doable for sure. I hope to get up there early in the week to assist Bruce, TrailBoss, Magoo and Uncle Gordy, et al.

    Remember, the first trials in the NMTA is free. Just have to sign up for AMA membership.

    Wait and see, the DS trials winner will have a single digit score. :ear

    Wish I could be there!

    For those who are, I'm sending down some door prizes, for those who can't and regret it (like me), consider sending some $ to NMOHVA. I'm really saddened by the loss of the trails around Los Alamos, I used to ride those with some regularity, we gotta support our sport!

    I would love to ride with you again, Montrose was a hoot.

    That was my first outing on the little orange 2 stroke beastie. I had a long talk with my power valve after that ride, we are beginning to understand each others needs a little better than we did initially; it's all about communication :bluduh
