So, I'd heard from a source that Metzeler's ME888 was about to be released. I decided to search for it today and found that it's already on sale, but there's no other news about it. WTF!?

    On sale at Revzilla: ME888

I am a big fan of the ME880--I rode a Goldwing all around the place on ME880s, and I like the way they look on show bikes. The ME888 tread looks busier, but still good to me. :evil

I've done probably 100k miles on ME880 tires over the years. They were great on my cruiser, and are great on Goldwings. But they absolutely suck on my concours. I put up with them because they last 15-20k miles, but they sucked in the wet and were not confidence inspiring. But it was probably all just "in my head".

I did slip out numerous times in the wet but always managed to catch myself, perhaps those incidents is what caused the lack of confidence.
