I'm looking for a new jacket, primarily for all weather use on the road from very cold (with my heated liner) to 80F. (I also have a mesh jacket).

I've currently been looking closely at the Firstgear Kilimanjaro. Love the fact it is breathable and comes without a liner like the Klim stuff as I have plenty of my own liners. I have as yet to find one in a store so cannot try on.

Anyone have one? Feedback? Other options I should look at?

I'm on my 2nd and it's the last gen not the latest. I like them, and have had good use. The silver/grey matches the Klim Overland well, if that means anything.

The new model would be on the top of my list next to Klim Overland jacket. I'm many years away from my current Kilo needing replacement though.

I liked mine, I wore it for 5 or 6 years so obviously an earlier model. After many years the durable waterproofing failed so the jacket would wet out, although it didn't leak. I am sure the newer jackets have a more long lasting durable waterproofing product. I still wear it occasional, I took all the armor out and wear it as an Enduro jacket over a pressure shirt.

I don't know what you mean about Klim and liners? I replace the Kilimanjaro with a Klim Overland which I am also happy with.

I think the current version of the Kilimanjaro isn't quite long enough, it used to be more of a 3/4 length jacket. I would look at the Katmandu also. I have the Katmandu pants and I like them.

I've got both the Kilimanjaro Air (mesh jacket with zip-in insulated/waterproof liner) and the Kilimanjaro regular vented version 4 (textile with zip-in insulated fleece liner). The regular one fits a little more snug than the older Air jacket, kinda wish they'd kept the sizing the same. The version 4 is also waterproof, has several pockets, lots of waterproof zippers and velcro sealing those pockets. They work fine for me. I also wear heated electric vest underneath to help keep warm during the winter time.

Very happy with my Kili. It's an earlier model as I've had it for several years now.

I've got the newer 37.5 model in both jacket and pants. Love them both. Breathe well. Stay dry. Do need heated gear underneath, but I've ridden at highway speeds with temps in the 25 degree Fahrenheit range without any issues. Would recommend.

Mine is a few years old, so probably not the current model. I love it. Riding now in the upper 30's to lower 40's with Warm n Safe underneath. Rain some days. Staying dry and comfortable. Went with the "safety green/yellow" and folks say they see me. I'll get another when this one wears out.
Oh—had a funky zipper when it first arrived. Got a new jacket, no questions asked, fast and free shipping. Recommended.

I have the older model and like it. It has become my year round jacket. It vents enough that I don't have to wear my mesh in the summer (I am Northeast). Firstgear has great customer service.

I have a couple Klim jackets that I really like. But the newer 37.5 Kilimanjaro caught my attention so decided to give it a try.....for my wife. She loves it. It looks great and performs better. I will soon have one of my own. I would say it is the best value in an ADV jacket.
