Well, I was really curious about them and tempted to try a pair. Then I saw a few people wearing them in public. It was tough but I was able to avoid stopping other people passing by so we could ridicule the wearer en masse. They look especially funny with khakis.

Depends on the guy. If the farthest you've ever run is to the bathroom at Taco Bell, these won't suddenly turn you into an ultra runner.

I saw a guy in SF wearing them the last time I was there. Didn't even know such a thing existed. I wasn't going to laugh at the wearing them, at least not to his face. His arm were the size of my legs, only not as hairy.

But since I am back in NZ I can safely say that they looked gay and I'd never wear them. How the heck can you get your toes into them? I can hardly get my gloves on properly.

The poll didn't have the option I would have picked.

I despise having shit touching the insides of my toes. Hell it took me years before I could stand to wear socks. Might as well drop a wasps nest down the front of my pants for comfort.

Do they make them for webbed toes? Or is that custom?

Ran a 5k Saturday night. There was a guy wearing the FLOW version. He hauled ass. I've thought about trying them too.

Had mine for about a year. I agree that getting my toes into them is a PITA. I'm waiting for the swelling to go down in my broken toe before I attempt to wear them again. FWIW, the do help with the hammer toe issue.

I've been curious about these too. I figure it's like running barefoot on a rubber-paved track. I figure if I had run more miles like this back in highschool, I might still have arches to speak of.

Anyone remember running in waffle-racers? Spikes?

If ya don't wanna go all-in, Inov8 is making some 'real shoes' that imitate the Vibram 5-fingers.

I have a few friends that wear em and like em. I've never tried em.

Basically the thought is you run on yer midfoot and forward, right? Natural shock absorbtion from all the bones in yer forefoot.

Seems to work for whatever Mexican Indian tribe that runs and runs... May work for me/you too!

Look like shit tho. :nod Least in public when yer not running. :norton

I actually wear them for running and the black/ brown leather version when I go hiking or when going out. The girls seem to like them. :lol3
