midfoot strike, yes. But not just midfoot & forward.

Midfoot footplant, slightly later in your gate than if you were aiming for a heel strike (so that your leg is not so far in front of you). The initial strike flattens out the front of your foot, yes. Keeping your foot relaxed, the momentum of your weight will naturally compress the bone structure of your arch, rolling the pressure rearward onto the heel before your body fully passes over your foot. The calf-driven toe-off happens after the body passes over, so, it's not entirely a midfoot forward gate...which would really blow out your calves fairly quick.

    Love 'em.

To tell you the truth, I don't really care what anybody else thinks about them. They're just too damn comfortable.

I've had a pair for a year now. For someone that likes to go barefoot they're the next best thing. While I don't wear them around town, they are my main shoe for camping, kayaking and all things outdoors when hiking boots aren't needed. They pack small and light, dry out fast, and provide enough protection to walk river beds without any issues. Best water/outdoor shoe I've ever owned. :thumb

And yes they look goofy, then again I'm not one that needs the approval of my peers to validate my manhood. :toney

I vowed to NEVER wear crocks...but have been ALL SUMMER! After wearing a pair my Gf bought me without asking me if I would wear them. It took about 5 minutes to decide they weren't for weirdos after I found out how comfortable they were and how cool my feet stayed all summer! At first I said, No friggin way would I out something that looks that friggin gay on my feet. (No offense to gay people! It's only a figure of speach, like redneck)..

On these glove shoes, No way would I every put anything that friggin gay on my feet.......

Till your GF buy you a pair, huh? :lol3

I've seen people wear these walking around. Now, if you're running, it's not a big deal but I see people who aren't the running type wearing them with their regular clothes and they look awful... Troll Feet is right. :lol3 I've heard some people commute with them, too. I guess in SF, it's considered avant-garde but elsewhere, they're just ugly. I have yet to see a gay person wear those though. They tend to have a good sense of taste. :lol3

I have a pair. I use them for kayaking in warm water and exploring when I beach the boat.

    They are pretty awesome.

I wear moccasins when stalking during early bow season for deer. These Goofy looking things look like they would be good for that. If I checked in a deer wearing them though I would never hear the end of it:rofl .

i rock them, but in the super gay blue/gray cammo pattern. :D

i like light, minimal shoes- these and nike frees are my favorites. they also seem to strengthen my feet and ankle - since i've started wearing less supportive sneakers, i've had way fewer feet and ankle injuries playing sports.

Why do they call them "fingers" when they're clearly "toes"?

Don't look like they'd go over very well in the colder climates.
