Here's a shot of my FJR
Hey "007ADVenture" what brand of tank protector is that on your FJR? I like it alot!
Dunno about the C14 gang, but I've been out riding instead of posting...
Went out today in the low-30's weather for a couple of hours and snapped these pics:
And one honoring the Two Wheel Nut.
Here is mine again grabbing the tag in the Virginia tag a rama game.
It's a "Tank Bra" from Mag-Knight. It works great plus it just peels off for occasional cleaning underneath. Mine is the "carbon fiber" design.
Here is their link. http://www.mag-knight.com/Tank%20Bra.htm
This bike has always been high on my cleaned-out-the stable-now-what list.
... now about that licence plate.
Fortunately, you live in another state, I hope you can snag it in MN.
It's a great bike, and delivers one hell of a far reaching bimble.
Have my 03, I watched for this bike since 2000 when I heard they were going to make it. Lot's of talk on the FJR list about upgrading to a newer model, I don't see the point, still get the same thrill since the first time I rode it!
Is that an 08?
Who's custom seat is that?
Yep, bought it "used" with 2200 miles on it. Already had the Bill Mayer seat, MCL triple clamp/riser, highway pegs mounted to the sliders and a premier rear rack.
The seat is very comfy but I would prefer leather. Might sell it off and have a new one built. I'm a bit bigger than the guy it was made for.
Went to New Foundland from Utah last year.
Here is the 06 loaded for travel.
I'm on Signal Hill. A landmark in New Foundland.
It's my second FJR. The 03 was a little warm.
Even loaded with camp gear and full luggage it
was still pretty frisky....
Ride link if interested....
Wow!! That sounds like quite an adventure. Tell us more! What route did you take, what time of year, how long did it take.
I've been a lot of places in the word, but never Newfoundland. I also live in the west and just never thought of that as a destination.
Got any more pics?
@007, just check the ride report link. It will have photos (Sturgis)
and along the way scenic stuff, Fun ride, beautiful area.
Check the links in my sig line too... Newfoundland was awesome. I plan on going back. You didn't take the Feejer up the Trans-Lab did you? I know it would be doable but kind of a PITA.
I had seen your amazing Alaska video before. Very well done.
I would go back to Alaska before I do the far East ride again.
Nova Scotia was my favorite. I have not deciced on my 09
ride yet. Leaning towards Alaska again. We'll see.
My favorite 05...
My favorite 02...
Shop around. Don't let the outragous quote from Progressive deter you.
When I switched from an ST1300 to and FJR I was mortified at the first few quotes I received. Progressive was the highest at $1000.48 per yr, Geico was near the same, followed by my State Farm agent at $717.
I found another company who quoted $525. and then I got a tip on FJRowners dot com (insurance section) forum to check AAA-Carolinas.
$230 per YEAR gets me a 100/300 policy on my FJR -and- Husky TE.
All insurance companies are not created equal.
The wife and I out crewzin:
...And no, I never touched the double-yellow.
but your noggin might have touched a bumper if someone was comin the other way:eek1
