Well, took my first ride on an Fjr. Looked at an 06 with 54K at a dealer in Georgetown. They wanted 7500 plus tt and L. I thought that was pretty high. I rode it for about 20 minutes down some twistys and got it up to about 120 on a straight. Had frame sliders and a throttle lock. otherwise stock. Didnt feel as heavy or cumbersome as I was expecting. Overall a nice bike. I know there are better deals to be found.

Finally got my Aluma trailer set up for my FJR. Bolted down the Condor stand after some measuring to ensure the trailer tongue weight was adequate and purchased some new Powertye tie downs. These rachet tie downs have safety retainers on each end to eliminate any un-hooking and also include genuine sheepskin wraps to protect the paint. Following Condors suggested tie down methods only requires a rachet strap on each side near the rear of the bike and securing it forward at approximately 45 degree angle. I will also secure the front tire to the Condor stand for added security.
I can fit both of my motorcycles on it at one time which is a plus.

the wallet thanked me at only $12,299 new

already has 2-brothers carbon cans, touring screen, steering stem GPS mount and a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 2s waiting for installation. Don't feel the need for any other farkles at the moment.

    I'm torn - That's a sweet trailer setup for sure...but it's a bike that should never be on a trailer :D

Come on up to MN during January with your FJR and good medical coverage. We will ride around in stuff like this and then you can understand the need for a trailer:rofl

plus I now can take both my bikes with me somewhere instead of just one

Thats on the famous Hwy 1 south of Big Sur.

Well, I bough the bike used. I guess when the shop was changing the tires out they failed to tighten the bolts down enough. Fender came off as I was riding to work one day. Snap crackle pop; fender in pieces. Scared the crap out of me.

New fender came in last week.
Yamaha FJR fender and all new hardware delivered: $98
BMW 1150RT fender NO hardware, not delivered : $278

I'm enjoying this bike more and more!:clap

He said that it handles like a truck. A truck with plenty of grip, mind you, but holding it through a turn gets tiring. Soon as he can, he's gonna go back to a MC tire on the rear.

I got to a point where I just couldn't follow him any more. Everytime he'd go into a turn, I was mesmerized watching the tire eventually lift up and I could see daylight under it!

He also said that with the rear CT, that bike will wheelie RIGHT NOW!
