Thinking about lacing some 17" hoops on the DRjr to accommodate a shorter rider, and spooning on some DS tires. Anyone got a line on the rims and spokes, or a complete set of SuMo wheels?

I'd have to practice to be able to ride better... That's not gonna happen :rofl

I may need to set the DRjr up for someone around 5'3" so how low would you need it to be to ride :evil

Why not cut 1" off of each spoke and cut new threads on them. That should get you in the ball park.:deal

WOOYFF has a stock '05 or so DL650 silencer that is not all beat to shit? Mine has 60k on it and the baffles have come loose. Now it makes tweety bird sounds near idle and whistles at 4900.

    Lets make a deal!:deal

I've got a silencer off an '03 GSXR 600 that you can have for forty bucks. It's got a ding & a couple of scuffs, but it's not bad. Lighter than stock & breaths better, or so I'm told.

I bet that will work fine. I do still have my welder, so I can make it fit. This would be my preferred way to go of the options so far. I can wait a while, its not a big deal to me. Just would rather have it quiet again on the cheap!:clap

Husband, thanks, I will keep that offer in mind too. :deal

If anyone is interested I have the original shock and mufflers for the Vstrom (2002 vintage if that matters).

They were fine when replaced with aftermarket chit.

I will make you a deal.

I have a Saddlemen custom seat (REALLY really nice!) to sell. It doesn't fit my butt. It's for a 2012+ DL650.
