I think he just left himself logged in someplace.
Yup, sad for sure, but props should be given to guys who turn the corner onto a better road. I deplore Landis' cheating and deceipt. I applaud his decision to come clean and be honest.
About Lance: Where there's smoke, there's fire. Around Lance there's smoke, burning embers and trees aflame, yet there are those who deny the existence of the fire.
Time to get real about Lance.
Tragic on many fronts.
I'm getting to the point where I don't care what they do. Make it all legal and let science build us some superhuman freaks. The juicers seem to be able to stay ahead of the testers so let them do whatever it takes to win!
Has Armstrong ever tested positive?
Gotta love the PR angle.
Email sent almost 3 weeks ago.
USA Cycling doesn't want it to get out before TofC so they sit on it.
It gets "leaked" right in the middle of the biggest domestic race of the season.
It looks like he's heavy on the accusations but light on proof. Suicide by lawsuit?
Armstrong just abandoned the TofC
No one liked or believed Jose Canseco.
Apparently he was involved in a crash early in the race, got back on the bike for a while but was then taken away for xrays.
Timing sure is inauspicious.
Earlier he addressed the Landis pot-stirring:
My take on the scenario:
I bet this is why it unfolded:
at the recent Tour de Gila, in which both Landis and Armstrong raced, Landis
probably reminded Lance that he took the bullet for the team by not ratting
anybody out. How so? French authorities told Floyd that they would brush his
incident under rug and he could keep his yellow jersey, if he gave them a "Fish
bigger than him". That would be Lance, whom the French love to hate. Floyd did
not do this. Lance probably blew Floyd off at the Gila, in his typical fashion
when he no longer has any need for anybody (at least according to the press).
Landis thought, "I will fix him!"
The drama has just begun.
I just read that Armstrong crashed out of the ToC. No way to be tested if you crash. His head was not in the game. I think there is something to this.
- I keep meaning to get down and Ride the moto and watch.
This would have been a good year.
I was a huge Lance fan!
(until they did up his gifted GTO on Overhauled!)
So you would believe a man who has
b) raised public money to fight the resulting ban when caught
d) admitted to cheating and lying?
You also watch Fox news a lot?
Sure. Why not? Andreau denied doping, then came clean. He was on Motorola with Armstrong. Heras denied doping, was caught while racing, raced on Lance's team. We all know about Tyler. Why not Floyd too, who, because of his personal reasons, practiced omerta and did not rat out anybody.
Until he had a reason.
Amidst the lies there are grains of truth. This might be one. (ps, I don't watch Fox, and have been a supporter of Lance all the years, but, whatever).
Did he hurt his neck?
If it's true Fuck Lance.
THis has royally screwed US pro cycling.
Let's have some proof first.
I heard you were gay
Johan Bruynell said of Landis, He needs to seek professional help, and Im not talking about lawyers.
Honestly, I think the lot of them are dopers. They have to be in order to ride like that, especially at the end of a 100+ mile day. Those of us who have pedaled up some category 2 climbs with excruciating leg cramps know better.
hard to decide which side to believe.
There is a very long list of former Armstrong team members that have tested positive, or admitted to doping at some level. Several have either direectly or indirectly implicated Armstrong.
Hamilton, just to name the americans.......
that said, I think it's just an indication of the cycling climate in the late 90's, early '00s.....Look at the french/belgian/etc....
