    So this is where I do not know enough of pro-cycling. I thought that there is a difference between blood doping and transfusions.

    Transfusions is just a process of taking your blood concentrated with red-blood cells and putting them back in your body. Blood-doping as I understand it is to transfuse blood with EPO. Am I wrong?

    I am a fan of Lance and think that without other proof this is just sour grapes.

    EPO (erythropoietin) is a protein that stimulates red cell (erythrocycte) production/growth. It is found both naturally (bone marrow) or synthetic (injected, usually every 2 weeks or so).

    Synth EPO is commonly used in cancer/renal failure patients for low hematocrit (anemia)
