It's a famous Read Titan tank. Used on (mostly) Honda CB Four racers. The tank was part of a racing kit sold in the '70s.
Eddie Lawson's Yamaha miler from his junior year in AMA flat track. Seen in 2000 at the Del Mar Concours.
Nice XS customs. Mine is a fire road scarmbler now, too. Shinko 705s, 13.5" NJB shocks, but stock 78 standard tank and seat with a black MAC 2 into 1. Not as pretty as yours, still need to fashion a skid plate and am doing a carb swap to Keihin CVK this weekend. I'll get some photos of my "Yambler" up as soon as I can figure out how!
Very cool thread, how have I missed this until now?

I had those boots in 1976. Norstars right? weren't they the original Alpinestars?
They're Norstars repops built by Axo. They've got the vintage look of the originals with actual support and protection. Still have the metal buckles so they're no faster to get on and off than the oldies. I got mine for $150 off the Axo eBay store. So far, so good!
It looks like we are slowly getting away from the topic
How about some Flat tracker and street tracker photos?
Here's my Astro and the Triumph that's almost done.
Anti gravity front wheel! Can I pay extra for that option?
