Simplicity of just being happy to ride in a big empty field.......
Phil...my brother, she is a doll.....I am a grandfather of a 3 yr old and the older I get the more precious they get.
Yeah, that place is wide-open and great for kids starting out. That pic is a bit deceptive though. It is actually a semi-maintained riding area about a mile outside of town. It has rock crawling area, trials-style obstacles, a few mud-pits in the winter and a bunch of two-track trails running around the perimeter. My kids love it so I am a fan by proxy!
I am reminded again of how this thread is one of my favorites on the forum and I want to thank each and every contributor for sharing a bit with us here
too often we think of adventure riding as a male dominated arena and the truth is I wish there were more females sharing their stories with us here. I can only hope that some of the donors we see in this thread will grow up to be responsible and active adventure riders as well
She´s going to get her own one day!
I don't know if I put this one up, but took this one back in April.. She looks so young there yet the picture is only six months old! They grow fast!!
She will be two in November. I am going to get her a balance bike for her birthday. Every time she sees a bike or motorcycle she gets excited.. When she sees mine it's "Daddy's mo'cycle!! I want to ride daddy's mo'cycle!" hahahaa .. Love her
FiFi short for Sophia wrenching the 450EXC.
First motorcycle pickup from school of the year, this time on the Ninja instead of the Versys. Had to get there extra early to get front row parking of course. One of these days I hope she actually gives a nice boy the time of day...she's 13 and they're still "annoying"...I suppose I should be grateful. "A" student taking high school classes in 8th grade, trumpet & piano player, runner, polite & sensitive(although sometimes too much) Why do teenage girls cry at the drop of a hat?!?!
Classic dad move my 13 year old daughter was embarrassed when I turned up to pick her up from her orchestra practice at school on the ktm enduro, went a very fetching shade of purple, of course being the loving parent that I am I informed her that tomorrow was a different day and not to worry. The day after, she got home and said that lots of boys had mentioned that, "Your dad's got a cool bike" I don't know if she was happy that they thought that her dad had a cool bike or that she has hormone raging teenage boys talking to her, oh well it's probably time I took up some form of gun sport anyway.
If you figure out that "crying at a drop of a hat" thing....please share
Mine's only 20months old and already is a pro. Can't wait 'til she's 13?! :huh
that will be one of my favorite pictures ever.
As a pediatrician I'd love to hang that image in my office to remind folks of how much I love motorcycles and children
Daddy's little helper
She looks like about 35 liters right? Should fit right into the new Holan top case

Taking my 5 year old daughter for a ride for the first time. She had a ball!
Taking my 1 year old for a ride around the yard.
My granddaughter at seven months old. She attended a four day antique motorcycle rally and is always interested in bikes. Looks all that ride by. I like to think she is seeing if it is me coming for a visit.
With me on a 1967 Honda S65.
I think the smile on her face tells me I have a future riding partner.
Very Cool seeing all the pictures of Dad's and daughters riding together. When my daughter, the Slidette was 14 we took a trip to Canada on my V-Strom,
that was 2005, now she is all grown up and married, glad we had those great times together when she was younger.
My trip is here:
The trip was so long ago, some of the links to photos in my photobucket are broken, but you get the idea anyway.
Sold that bike off in 2007, and just picked up it's twin that used to belong to my now deceased buddy TooTall last weekend, having a blast getting reaquainted with the V-Strom.
Wonder if the Slidette would like to go back to Canada...
