Here's a couple of my princess. She's 10 and starting her third year of riding.
Big Al, your daughter has one sweet bike. Does she let you ride it often? I hope she recovered from the accident in the bottom picture.
Here's my girl on my GS the night I brought it home:
Can't wait to take her for a ride on it once her mom is cool with it!!
I just bought a 77 R 100 that my 8 year old little girl and I are restoreing for her. I think I should just about finish it when she turns 16 She love working on it with me the only problem is the Hanna Montana music she make me listen to while we work:eek1
Ouch, talk about making sacrifices for her.
I love this thread too, it's the only place on the net to find real riders out there with their kids!
Lisa is getting antsy for her own bike...3 more years! (no gear, we're just washing the bike today)
My daughter is now riding her own bike!
ha ha ha,,, that's the look she got when I sat her there
My folks couldn't wait for my feet to touch the pegs, and there wasn't room for me in the saddlebags, so ...
My carseat fit perfectly. I took my first ride the weekend I turned one year old. Then my brother came along...so they opened up the rumble seat. We rode 4 up - quite a spectacle. (We're getting ready for a parade in my dad's hometown.)
So I eventually got my own...My dad and I did 1500 miles from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Seattle</st1:City>, to Glacier NP, up to <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Banff</st1lace></st1:City> and Jasper, and back in 5 days....
And the rest is history! (Yay! Bike upgrade!) My dad and I go on long rides every summer to a new destination. The trips have been getting longer and longer in the last few years.
I am fortunate to have a unique way to bond with my parents and some really special memories!
This is daughter No 3 of 4, just a couple of miles from home.
For a while, with my oldest (16 Year old) the bike was the only thing we had in common.
I've always been a bit weary of posting pics of my kids on the net, not on this thread though.
This is my eldest out on an afternoon bimble with her old man.
Bump for my girl!
I like her taste in 2 smokes!
I finally got an opportunity to grab a shot of my daughter on my bike to contribute to this awesome thread.

We were gearing up and ready to head off to breakfast with the BMW Dutch Country Riders. We have breakfast every Sunday. And today was/is an awesome day to go riding!
Took my daughter up into the hills for a ride last week. Was great fun- she's a natural. She's much less tiring on pillion than my son is- I think she just gets the lean down better.
well, i wrote something long and beautiful and then accidentally deleted it. darn it! this is an incredible thread. it's whipped me right back down memory lane.
my pops was my moto influence; first ride at age 8. the motorcycle frightened me in the beginning. after years of after school lessons, and eventually getting my license and riding to high school every day on my xl250, it's become a passion; a part of my being and a part of my spiritual language.
maybe i'll try to conjur up what i had written before and paste it over this. here are a couple pics. one is of our first lesson and the other is of me in recent times out on a local road here in sonoma county.
another picture taken in recent times . . .
She has already declared it hers if I get a new bike.
She recovered quickely because it was just a flesh wound!
Way to go dlrides! I was just scanning the adv rider forums and ran into your thread. It struck a cord. I have been looking at this site for a while and have just now registered to add my 2 cents to your thread. I experienced a break down of my marriage about 2 years ago. At present, we are working through an agreement. Custody of the kids is joint and I see them from Thursday to Sunday. 1 son (9) and 2 daughters (8 and 6). We all have dirt bikes and really enjoy our time spent on them. 03 300 EXC, 02 KX 65, 03 KTM 50 Junior Adventurer and an 01 PW 50. If there is snow on the ground then we are at the local ski hill. After running into your thread, I spent the next couple of hours viewing the responses. I worry about my kids every day but feel so blessed that they are in my life. I would like to thank dlrides and the rest of you for this great thread and all your great stories and comments.
