The time has come for me to tune-up my scattergun skills, in preparation for Arizona quail season's opening weekend tradition. I plan to visit Colorado Clays tomorrow morning, Labor Day, shortly after they open @ 9:AM.... and the following 3 Sundays at the same time of day. I use one of their "Colorado Trap" ranges to get re-acquainted with shooting this time every year, and now they have a new rifle & pistol range open as well. Any inmates that have an interest in target shooting are welcome to join me there. LINKY: http://coloradoclays.com/ A handful of Rockies inmates got to meet Brother Kent on this ride, back on 5/30/2010: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=583850 Cancer took his life in March of 2012. We had an annual tradition of quail hunting together, and we scattered his ashes in the hunting ground last year. This tradition will continue into the future, with a portion of my remains and Kent's favorite hunting partner's ashes laid out there with him when our times are up. We hunt from quads, and it's always a good time - regardless of how many birds we bag. Any inmate friends who may have an interest in hunting with us in the Arizona desert are welcome to PM me for details.
