They used to have nice ones at Egli's sheep farm...
I've heard at least a few buy the IKEA ones and cut them down to fit and sew on a couple straps.
Yeah cause I need one that I can go buy in person in the next couple days, not one to order in. We're leaving sunday.
You will drive right past it on the way to nfld

Can you provide me with an item description of some sort? I can't find it online...
Sheep Skin or Lamb Skin ?
First off, they're sheep skins. Also known as "Wooly Bullys". The absolute best place to buy them is Egli's Sheep Farm in Dryden. Garth (dryden_rider_54) would probably be the one to talk to about sizing, as he has a KLR, and lives in Dryden. They are not cheap.....but from what I hear (for a trip to Newfie Land) spend the bucks, and you'll always be thankful. One place I wouldn't scrimp is the comfort of your ass!
The thing is we're passing through there on the way BACK from nfld, not on the way there.
On the way there we're going through the states.
Last winter bought one on St James Costco. They are on the shelf that close to the checkout, behind the gum/candy isle.
Costco SOMETIMES has them for about $35. It's called a small sheepskin. I use one full size on my Goldwing.
IKEA has a white sheepskin for $40
Oh yeah none of these have retaining straps, they are just a piece of sheep.
I sewed an elastic strap to mine and just pull it onto the "horn" of the saddle. Otherwise when you stand up it blows into a fold and you have to stop or adjust it on the fly
I got mine from the Wonderful World of Sheepskin, on Dufferin. They had them in a couple of different sizes and colours and with long or short hair. I didn't think to measure the seat first so I got the largest one and then cut it to fit. I tie it on in a similar way to how dryden_rider_54 does, but I just use a strap to secure it to the front horn part of the seat and tie luggage down over the back part to keep it in place.
Mel, are you still leaving today? You may want to give up a day or do to let the snow get a head you.
All the best on your trip.
You guys be sure to post and keep us in the loop!!!
I think they are leaving on Sunday.
Man when will this winter end. I just want to know which part of the globe is warming. Certainly not here in perpetual Winterpeg.

Just a reminder, Winnipeg Sport and Leisure is having a Bar B Q on Thursday 17:30.
Probably give Gerald a call at WSL and see if its still on.
We are in fact leaving Sunday, weather permitting.
No kidding... the novelty of snow on the ground has pretty much worn off. I think I wouldn't even mind seeing dandelions right about now.
Fingers crossed for you guys!
If you still plan on heading south first you should be ok. Everywhere is cool until Sunday but starts to be a bit more reasonable after that. Still only first of may so expect some cool mornings.
