Its sad to hear of the rider who passed away. He looked far too young to die. I lost a brother a few years back, and that really made me think about life, whats really important, and the people around me. I came to realize that any one of us could be gone to the other side at any time. When you say goodbye to your friends, it could be the last time you see them. I came to the conclusion that there isnt that much time left, it will go quickly. Every time I ride past a cemetery I see the headstones and they remind me, that we all will go someday. What do you want to do between now and "then"? i hope to meet up with some of you's over the next 8 weeks. it'll be good to see you's.
I saw a sidecar rig just south of Reinland (suburb of Winkler) yesterday. It was very new and shiny looking. I think it was one of those Urals. I would have liked to have said hi to him but all I could do was wave. A very muddy wet ditch was between us. It was a dark green bike
There's probably at least 5 Urals here in Winnipeg area... but no dealer! That's a hole I'm sure the Cdn distributor would love to fill. Charlie, odds are strong that was a Ural you saw. Look like this? http://www.uralcanada.com/ I'm with Hekto. The older I get, the more conscious I am of how little time we really have on this earth. Ride while you can, as often as you can
Just a heads up for those of you that may be interested, test rides will take place May22 at Wildwood Motorsporst.
OK - so let's just go ahead with the original plan and meet at Deacon's Corner for 10am tomorrow. We'll go with LEE'S original plan of going to Kenora (unless anybody is opposed to that we can definitely modify our outing) for lunch, mess around on some winding roads and come back. Once again, I have been checking the weather and no matter where we go there might be light rain or maybe even a bit of snow. I've definitely been through worse things so I'll probably go no matter what... Chris is working
I am, I think the youngest to ride with this group but already I feel what you guys are talking about! Especially after a certain person bailed on the hwy last summer :eek1 I absolutely agree - best to make the most of our time here. How I've already learned from the Winnipeg riders... if it wasn't for you guys I'd probably STILL be riding without gear! And my crash might have ended up alot differently. I think we should get together more often this summer... just saying
My Grandson turned 1 yesterday and true to form, he gets his first ride. Don't worry it's not a Harley, rather a clone and is equipped with a dependable battery operated engine ! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
Darrel, it's all part of the circle of life... Come in on three wheels... Go out on three wheels. I will most likely go that route as well. Like I tell my son, I wiped yours and you will wipe mine!!!!
I think I might stay home Saturday..... good thing I still have gas in the snowblower

Saturday, 12 April

Snow ending early in the evening then cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries. Amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind east 30 km/h becoming north 30 early in the evening. High plus 2.

Yeah if I'm not there its because there's too much snow and I only have the bike insured. I think the forecast is still up in the air though. They were wrong big time last "snowstorm". I'm sure gonna try though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
I've got nothing insured yet either. If the weather looked promising I'd make the effort. As is, I can get stuff done around the house. Might be frozen enough to access the bike shed, across the top-dressed-in-the-fall mud bog that is my yard!
Bunch of snow in the forecast and then below freezing cool again after that. faaaaackwhen will it end?
Wish my rear studs didn't all rip out when it warmed up. D606 next year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
... took it outside for another extended runup. Seems a little cold blooded (lean), but once it's fully warmed up it seems OK. That tweety removal muffler mod sure sounds great! Thnx for that again BTW Brian aka Piffle. Still waiting for different rear turn signals (the stockers don't fit) to come in before I'll attempt to safety it. If I put the footpegs on I could actually take it for a test ride
