Icefield Highway was great last year, hit it on the way back down from the Yukon and NWT.

Dana, thanks for the invite! Always great journeys by you. Am so tempted to come back whole hog. Just found a lovely low mileage 1200 HP2 Enduro in PA; advertised here on ADV. but kinda pricey. Hmmnn...:huh.

Did you go all the way to Yellowknife and hang there if so, what do you think one can do there in the meantime? Anything I should be aware of regarding the long isolated stretch to Yellowknife...spares; safety; weather, etc.

Did you skirt the floods from where you live.

    Cheers.. ELMER

Unfortunately my riding partner was not as adventurous as I would have liked so I did not make it to Yellowknife. Main point of the trip was just to get some riding in Alaska, Yukon and NWT to finalize all of the Canadian provinces on the GS. There is a reason I do most of my riding solo. As far as spares I always carry the same in my kit regardless if where I go.

No floods up where I am on the top of the mountains, it truly does run downhill.
