Easiest way I found was to get a smugmug acct. I am useless with technology and even I could figure it out.
Havn,t got a clue what i,m doing !!!! but here goes:huh
WOOOOOHOOO !!!! still don,t know how i got there but it worked not bad for a CLAY TECHNICIAN (bricklayer) its taken me about 4hrs so i ain,t doin nuffin more today !!!!! its wine time
I'm able to see your picture by following the link.
A quick search lead me to this: Hotlinking Picasa
Beyond that, I could only recommend a photo hosting service that specifically allows hotlinking, like smugmug. The problem with the sites that do allow hotlinking is that they are not free. I pay $20 (US) per year for my unlimited service and I feel thats a small price to pay.
I,ll have to play around with it ans try and sus it out !!!! bloody computers !!! i will get there as i do want to share my little piece of Europe
I post my pictures on Facebook (or use friend's Picasa). When you are on the picture (Picasa or MySpace or Facebook), right-click on the pic and go to properties. In the window that opens, double-click on the address next to Location. When the whole thing is highlighted, press ctrl+C (or right-click and select copy).
When you are posting, click on the icon that looks like a pic of a mountain on an envelope (windows may block it, click in the new bar that says to allow scripts). A window will open, paste in the box and it will embed the picture.
Voila, pics in post!
Looking forward to it, I haven't been to France in a couple of years...
I copied this from another site. it worked for me!
1), use a picture sizer program to reduce the size of your images to below 195kb and to 800x600 or below. I use this http://www.photo-freeware.net/bdsizer.php
2), sign up to a a free photo storage site like Photobucket or Smugmug (I use photobucket so can only quote for that) http://photobucket.com/
3), upload your pictures to it.
4), whilst writing a post, have photobucket open in another browser/tab and when you get to a place wher you want to insert a picture, go the PB site and hover your mouse over a picture and the words "Direct Link" appear. Click on it, beside it the link is highlighted. Right click on it and then click COPY.
5), Go back to advrider.com page and click on the insert image box. You will see http//: appear. Right click on it and paste your photo linke OVER it (not with it or you will end up with http://http://i310.photobucket.com/........)
6) The picture will appear in the text.
Good luck... Which part of France are you in?
Cheers Rich..... i,m going to get someone who knows how to drive a computer to help as my mind is starting to split:huh We live in the Lot 46 near Gourdon so we,re only 4 or 5hrs away always fancied a ice cream by the sea
