The Klim is a favorite with a lot of RTW riders it seems.

Well, it's Thanksgiving weekend so that'll mean more family oriented activities in general. With that and the nice weather the trail should be great.

    Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

I could MEBBE do a wee ride on big bikes on Friday. Scenic, not hammering the hard shit.

That’s true, but I always carry my GoreTex with me and ride with it on the long pavement sections. It seems to always rain on my rides

I may go ride the F’burg, Orange, F’burg backroad loop that got rained out a few weeks back if anyone is interested. Meet at Central Park Sheetz around 0900? It’s 120 miles total, subject to re-routes, so should be home for a late lunch.

    Any takers?

Late comer as usual. Being a KLR rider I'd offer that my most coveted farkles are 3.... wide aluminum foot pegs (Tusk are great), 30mm bar risers (I think that's the size. Simple billet risers work for me), and SW Mototech crash bars. These make for really comfortable and confident riding of the old mule on almost any terrain. It will go places....

But if I only had one off-road bike yeah I would pick something lighter. That said you may have picked a great bike for what you described.

Riding tomorrow, yeah I think I'm going to putt out to Monterey via 250. Well that's today now. It's late.

I'm out. Riding the Dirtbag urban mountain bike and cross bike race in Fburg. Not racing, just being sociable and getting miles in.

I enjoy "putting" over those mountains. One day I'll take you to the back/dirt way if you're interested.

If that route is big bike friendly I am in...

Been to Monterey a few times, did not know there was dirt routes some or all of the way out there.
