I actually stayed at the Belmar last year, it was ok but a bit rundown which I guess is perfect for what I want. I'll be sure to check in with you (along with the Is Mexico Safe crowd) for places to see/stay.

Dang, I forget the name of my hotel but it's super easy to find if you want directions. It's a block off the main drag and not a run down place.
And if you prefer authentic MX neighborhood.... this is definitely that.

No worries, maybe I'll find another gem in the rough or just take the Belmar again.

Maybe he crossed and is keeping us in suspense.
There's the ruins he passed, but they're a fur piece back.
Maybe una señorita lo convenció que se quedara.
Maybe his bike was confiscated at the border and he's on foot now...

He'll never get out of Mex if he's on foot. He'll just wander aimlessly in circles taking forever to get nowhere, endlessly lost in the wilderness and byways South of the border.....Same as when he was on his bike!

Glad you checked in here. Do what ya gotta do man. Nasty cold front in this part of the country now. Would love to be sweating in shorts and tee shirt like in Cuba when they were complaining of mucho calor. But at least we have the wood stove.

    Cheers! :thumb

Good to hear you are your own man.

It's warm here, the best spring I can remember and summer has started the same way. We had some rain last night, the first in 5 weeks.

My European mates are trying to get me to head to some snow. Nope, not going to happen :lol3. Can relate to you on that one...
