Something new and different...No passport is needed really. If you have a valid I.D. and registration and Insurance are in order, you are fine for crossing back into the U.S.A. with no issues. The Border agent might lecture you about needing a passport, thats all, if they even do that. On the way in to Mexico, you can buy a 1 day insurance policy for super cheap, if you want to play it avoid a hassle in the event of an accident.

Friday the Jan. 24th in Front of Zona Rio.

La Ravancha is a small bar in front of a large Plaza. Very close to the border. If you want to just meetup, then cross back, you can do that, the USA border is 1 mile up the main BLVD, see the map link.

If any one wants to go, let me know.
Meet me at at www.bikebandit.com at 5PM

We can ride to meetup together and I can get you to the border afterwards. Good people, no maniacs please. Wear Hi Viz gear if you can and use HIDS or brighter headlights.

I am bringing my XR650R with a Baja Designs Squadron LED and Speed & Strength Helmet and jacket, gloves. We'll be sure to stop and eat along the way. :dg

Sorry to take you off your high horse, but I'm happily married with 2 kids. If you are ever in Southern California, I'd bang you on the side just to get you to shut up. :rofl

I'm sorry my stalker hijacked your thread.

Spoke with border agent at the actual TJ crossing regarding the lack of a passport issue.
Pretty much no problem crossing back but better "with much documents you can provide" BUT If they are suspicious of you, you will get sent secondary which will delay you.
He also said "We can't legally deny any US citizen entry"

We got a $250 PP for my 5 year old and didn't really need it.

BTW, TJ was a cool city to check out. Of course stay in the well populated tourista areas

    YMMV

*Most importantly, and obviously is that you want to have a current registration, insurance, and headlights, brake, & turn signals working perfectly.

I had a few people come to the location. One from meetup.com
We basically had a beer and drove a lap around Revolucion and then crossed back to the USA. The link above, has the map and is a great group too.

It's more than statistically proven that drinking and RIDING impairs your reactions time.

Going to Mexico and doing that is asking for trouble.

I don't imagine you are endearing yourself to very many people here.......

Repeat after me...."12 hours bottle to throttle"

12hours oh good doG. If you want to wait 12 hours feel free. If I waited 12hours I'd never ride anywhere after riding with anyone here.

Ride your own ride let others ride theirs.

funny thing is I don't drink much at all, but... if someone is crossing and we meetup. Its an open invitation, big boys are welcome to visit and give me a clue of what kind of riding or places to visit. I also have a Baja 1000 Team top caliber mechanic if you all need great work done cheap in Tijuana.
