I am scouting out some trails/single track stuff in Google earth and I want to import my waypoints in mapsource to create a track/route.

how do i open a KML or KMZ file in mapsource? I have the free google earth version.

any advice appreciated on how to map out trails using the free version of google earth and importing them into mapsource without manually putting in the waypoint coordinates.

Interested to know if the trails you spotted in goggle earth are already in Mapsource R&R or topo? I have found that they are except one very old trail that is on the 15 minute btu not on the 7.5 Minute topo or Mapsource.

i doubt it..these trails are in pretty populated areas, behind industrial buildings, etc. etc.

im not sure the legallity of most of the trails, just trying to see if i can get from home to work all trails/dirt for the fun of it.
