Count me in. It's going to be hell, riding 2.3 miles from home to get to the Exxon though, the sacrifice better be worth it! :rofl

Nobody plan on filling up at that Exxon. They are the highest $-ed station in Balto-County. If the weather doesn't cooperate we should hit this: Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffett
2033 E Joppa Rd, Parkville, MD. The food is good the place is clean and the price, cheap ($10.50 AUCE)

If you are looking to stuff yourselves at a reasonable price, the York Grill & Buffet is pretty good. Just another Chinese/American buffet, but it is a regular place for my family to visit. They have two items that you don't see at most places; lamb (at the grill) and these wonderful bacon wrapped shrimp things.

Now, if you want to stuff your face with higher quality vittles, I recommend Miller's Smorgasbord. Not the cheapest place around, but it is one of the best.

Regardless of where you go, I probably won't be able to join ya. Working until 8pm these days.

Sorry for the cross post action.
So a while back I said to J4S that we should do an out of state....like several states away RTE, and within 24hrs as I recall it the plan was born to Katz's Delicatessen in New York city. So this weekend's plan, 30 March, is to leave early and head North on I-95 until we get to Philadelphia where we will stop off at the Revzilla store. Then promptly proceed to Katz's where we will have some great chow and then return home miserable but with a pannier full of food and gear. I say we get on the road no later than 0800 and get breakfast on the road or in Philadelphia. Open to suggestions.... Oh, and who is coming along?

    Hi Skyclad
I just had to say a big thank you for introducing TOR to Maryland (and a couple other states as well). It has been a lot of fun chasing down places I would never have seen in Maryland without it.

    Thanks
    Chris

No apologies needed. Thanks for the invite. I'm a no-go...
I was just at Katz's yesterday. Didn't get any food though, a taste tour was there. A bus full of people going to multiple restaurants, getting mini plates of what the restaurant does best. Forty people on the sidewalk, I went a block down, made a right on Essex St. and had BBQ Crispy Wings at Sons of Essex, good bar, bad selection of beer on tap. But what you have to do is go to 108 Rivington S
t.(10002). Easy walk from Katz, easier ride, might not be worth gearing up, just walk. The red awning will let you know you're there. Unfortunately they close at 5pm.

It may. I am not riding 3-4 hours round trip (half in the dark) for a meal I can get down the street here in Bal-more though. Sorry for the snobbery but make the destination an adventure I say.:dg

There is a good Mexican place in east York call Fiesta Mexico.
    2818 E Market St
    York, PA 17402

Sal's Little Italy in Dallastown and Red Lion are both worthwhile. I prefer the Dallastown location for the Fra Diablo.
    476 E Main St 801 Delta Rd

Ember's is a good steakhouse located in east York.

Blasting Elf just reminded me about Prudhomme's Lost Cajun Kitchen in Columbia. Don't know why I didn't think about this place earlier. Good Cajun style cooking, heavily seasoned but not brutally hot. Can't say that I have had a bad dish there, though it is a little on the pricey side. On the downside, it can be a little loud, depending on who they have playing in the bar area. Reservations would be a good idea, as it is not a big place and it fills up fast sometimes. Of all the places I have listed, this would be my highest recommendation.
