    Hey guys!
I have recently got a 93 KLR 650 because its reliable, good on gas and there is a god supply of parts for it.
I have close to 1000 miles on it already and I have to tell You: its a keeper :nod:nod. I know for the money we spend on these machines We can not criticize the design of its bodywork but I wish there is a replacement front fairing out there for us, what looks good, gives weather protection, wind protection.
I mean not just an over sized fuel tank or an over priced plastic piece from Canada, but something You would see on a rally bike ( Dakar ), something what measures up to the KLR !
So far my search was fruitless and I start to think I might need to fabricate something for myself.

So far the only piece I have made for my bike is a carbon fiber fender ( 2 fenders using different CF cloth )

Also. I remember seeing someone made a complete front fairing for their KLR with diamond plate.
It's somewhere on the ADV sight.

    Thanks guys!
I like to have something like that on my KLR, made from some kind of composite.

Are you wanting cool looks or just function?

If function the madstad bracket on a turbo city windshield is the best I have found.

If it's cool looks, I got nothing, it's a KLR, great bike but closer to a farm implement that a PD runner.

I want a good looking fairing what is functioning also.
This is how I see: Lot of people prefer utility vehicle over passenger vehicle but they do not want to drive a John Deere tractor :)
Some of us like to be a minimalist when comes to choice of a ride and it is OK, but some of us perhaps want a little more.

Working with the stock fuel tank ( There are 2 mounting points on each side ) and the headlight mounting bracket there will be no problem to mount the new fairing.

It is already in the works and hopefully by end of the weekend i will have some photos worth posting.

Start to look like a fairing, still needs a lot of body filler.[IMG]
