The bike is sold. (Several hours after the auction ended)

I know what the price was, but, in case the buyer is an ADVer, I will defer from saying what it was and let him speak up. I spoke with Jim (the seller) both during the auction, and today. Straight-up guy, had no knowledge of sidecars, and was shocked by the prices I told him today. I was seriously considering buying it for close to his "Buy it Now" price of $8,495.00, but it would cost $800 to ship it to Washington state, and I'm two weeks post back surgery with a yet-to-be-determined outcome, although things seem to be progressing well enough. If not for the back problem, I would have bid $7,750. Turns out that was below his reserve, but not much. He said the rig went to a "gentleman from Utah" who called him with a hundred questions during the bidding. I'm glad it found a good home!

This is pretty blatant spam, for which I apologize in advance. AceRph, if you think I should delete it or move it to Vendors, let me know and I will.

There isn't much in the way of sidecar paraphernalia available, so my brother has set up a Cafe Press store for Adventure Sidecar. We will have T-shirts and coffecups with various sidecars available. The rigs will change as Andy gets different photos together that we like.

OK - here's another interesting sidehack rig from fleabay:

A 1994 MZ Silver Star with a Velorex sidecar - this was one of several units brought into the USA by Jawa for sales and demo use, and then orphaned when MZ dropped Rotax and went over to the Yamaha single.

The MZ is pretty light, way faster than an Enfield, and was correctly setup by the factory for sidecar service, the wire rims had heavier spokes, there's a beefy fork brace, and what looks like a set of Fournales air/oil shocks on the rear:

A low-mileage (less than 1500) rig, that's already sorted out, and with a fairly deep parts supply.
Currently at about $2,625 with 1 day, 18 hoiurs to go, this would be a sweet way to haul the pup, or just go thrashing around terrifying your friends and family.

    1975 BMW R-90 with Sidecar - $3500 (West Knoxville)

1975 BMW AIRHEAD WITH EITHER AN "EAGLE" OR AN "AMERICAN” SIDECAR. I REALLY DON'T KNOW THE EXACT NAME, BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS MOST LIKELY WHAT IT IS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS SET UP HERE WITH A 1975 R-9O AIR-HEAD TWIN. I WILL SELL THE RIG AS IS PLUS AN EXTRA STOCK FRONT FENDER AND AN EXTRA STOCK SEAT.

AS YOU CAN SEE, IT HAS "SNOWFLAKE" WHEELS AND A "SOLO" SEAT.

I HAVE HAD THE RIG FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS, BUT AS YOU KNOW, NO TIME OR SKILLS TO FINISH IT OFF NICELY. THE BIKE IS A GOOD STRONG RUNNER AND PULLS THE CAR WITH LITTLE EFFORT.

SINCE I RIDE "SOLO" ONLY THESE DAYS, I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SELL THE RIG "AS IS" OR PULL THE CAR OFF AND SELL IT BY ITSELF.

I WOULD CONSIDER SELLING THE "HACK" ALONE, OR WITH THE BIKE, OR EVEN MAYBE A TRADE FOR A DECENT SOLO BIKE.

I WILL SELL THE CONNECTED RIG AS IT SITS FOR $3,500.00. THE CAR ALONE WOULD BE $750.00

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

2006 Ural Patrol and sidecar with only 7,000 Kilometers on it. This model has a selectable rear end for 2WD when needed which means it engages the sidecar wheel and it becomes a drive wheel. Built like a tank and a real blast to ride. Has been well maintained and is a great off road rig for hunting or just riding around the mountains which is what I used it for. Includes hand and foot shifter, after market exhaust and stock exhaust pipes, Lower leg guards, sprung solo seat and factory bench seat,3 extra gas cans,2 30 cal ammo cans for storage, spotlights on the sidecar and a tool box. May also consider trading for 4X4 Toyota or Nissan pickup and would prefer an extra cab. No low ballers and no free rides. Pics upon request 541-752-2284
