Skid plates for 950/990 Adventures. They are Laser cut .250" Aluminum. TIG welded. Really quite nice skidplates. Intially I built one for a friend and myself. No intention of buiding any more. Let's just say a few people coerced me into making a few more. So to offset the Laser and material cost. I built 12.
These plates use the stock hardware for mounting. Just push out the stock rubber grommets, install them in the new plate and mount up with stock bolts.
I also am adding a sidestand reenforcment plate to the deal. Laser cut 1/4" aluminum with all hardware needed. These mount between the engine cases and the sidestand bracket. This reenforces the mounting of the sidestand by using attachment to the frame also.

Package Deal! Skid Plate and Side Stand bracket. 345.00 plus 20.00 shipping.

Skid Plate only. 305.00 plus 20.00 shipping.

Side Stand Bracket with hardware. 55.00 plus 5.00 shipping.

1/4" plate would stop a bullet. Nice welds. I did notice you welded the corner seam on both sides too.

Thanks for the inquiry. The weight is right at 8 lbs. Being down low, I didn't believe it would be much of a factor. i really wanted something that was geared for a lifetime of protection and look pretty good.
    The alloy used was 5052.
I take paypal or a cashiers check. PM me for address.

You definitely won't be disappointed! Bulletproof is about right. Bolted right up and makes the competition seem puny. Pretty welds and although I may powdercoat it later, it is definitely worth showing off naked. (A little chilly for that in Nebraska though:D)

Thanks so much Charlie - well done.:clap

    I've got Terlingua's [original BDCW's 5 bolt 3/16" design] SideStand Plate on my 950SE.
I like this 1/4" Thick Unit :thumb
How much $$ for this without the Skid Plate :ear

Hey I'm shopping for a skid plate. Could you post a pic from the side and one from head on? Just trying to get a better idea of the angles.

    Thanks
