The perfect Christmas gift... ok, maybe not ... unless they are attached to a pristine XR650R with a big red bow on it! :evil

    Hi Mike,
    I'm a newbie here.
I took a look at my 04 BRP and noticied that I have the stock junk bolts.
I would like to purchase the bolts you have.
I have a paypal account to pay for them.
    How does this work?
    Thanks,
    Scott

2003 XR650R - Just picked her up. Previous owner and myself have put just over 600 miles on her.

Sure enough...hexhead stock bolt was stretched. Replaced with Mikes 12.9s and torqued both 55mm and 50mm to spec of 40 ft-lbs. Before forgetting about them and going cross-country...

Question 1: My bike didn't have the chamfered washer on the rear bolt as shown in the manual. Think the washer is necessary with Mikes replacement?

Question 2: Mild locktite on these bolts?

Thanks in advance dudes...PS kickstarter bolt was loose too...just as advertised. This site is a big help! :ear

Still have bolts... get them ready for spring!

I've had 3 or 4 bikes (out of maybe 50) not had the threads quite deep enough (by 1mm) to accept the extra 5mm bolt on the rear...that's why I include the wshers... usually not necessary...

Bolts showed up very quick in the mail! Thanks for making this a painless process for a needed upgrade, without having to run all around town to try and find these. :clap

Well, it's my turn. I just bought a 02 XRR off Craig's list here in Tucson and reading the forum I found out about the bolts. Can you help a local sort this out?

Busted my leg pretty bad last halloween, 3.5 hours of surgery and 14 pieces of titanium, 3 months in a wheelchair, not a great prognosis (ie maybe you will walk) ...

195 days straight in the gym and 6 months of PT (physical terrrorism :)) and I'm kicking ass on my mountain bike and almost ready to get back on the dirt bike. Been back on my ADV bikes and catching up for lost time camping the last month or so.

...and I still have bolts :evil
