    Hi guys.

Got a new CF Evo 5 screen today from Rade and while fitting it I notice a fuel leak from the left side tank on the 950 Adv S. I removed the screws from the left side fairing to have a look but the lower front fairing screw just turned along with the receiver in the tank. Turns out that's where the fuel leak is. The Receiver in the tank has come lose and just spins and fuel is getting out around it. Seems the previous owner over tightened the screw after his recent HID conversion and rang the receiver out of place.

Has anyone see this before and what it the fix. Only have the bike around 2 weeks and was only out on it once so far.

Please tell me how to fix this. :cry

I think you have 4 choices

Epoxy (Try asking Caswell for advice)
Plastic Weld (try to find a shop)
A solder iron (home method for old plastic and small leaks)
new tank (not the best choice but will work)

Thats what I know. Others may have cool tricks I do not know.

    Thanks man.

Anyone with more detail. the receiver is still in although turning. If I heat the plastic around the receiver will it melt back onto it sealing it.

Once I've read it somewhere on this forum that if you turn it fast enough (with a fast electric screwdriver for example) it will generate enough heat to melt back into place...
