I had to look up whether "cats ass" means good or bad.
My only cultural reference was from the 80's, as a pencil sharpener
in the book "101 Uses for a Dead Cat" by Simon Bond:

    I always use that term.
    Like, for instance:

"What's that ? How do I like the current bike I own ? Oh it's the cats ass".

Every time my kids over hear me say "it's the cats ass" to describe something good, they look at me like I'm from mars

In my opinion Michelin makes some of the best tires. I've used the Pilot Powers & Road 2's.
Currently have gotten 11k out of this set of Road 2's on the Yamaha.
Best mileage I've gotten out these yet.:clap:clap This FZ must be easy on them:rofl
Rear has had the plug in it for about half those miles.(knock wood).

Just ordered another set. The 3's are always at least $30-$40 more a set.
I don't know how much better they can be. Heard of a few complaints of stability with all the extra siping. I've been satisfied with the 2's.
I guess maybe if I rode in the rain everyday, otherwise I think the 2's may be a better value & I'll continue to buy them until they stop making them.

    On another note..................Scored this today:D
Should make tagging a little easier:lol3
Faster too...........won't have to fumble around with tie-downs:poser

Heidenau Scouts? I get 4k from the rear and 6k from the front (two sets so far) on the SE. It does have a different pattern in the 18" size than the 17" size, so maybe the compound is different as well.

I have P3's on the SM after a set of P2s. I haven't noticed a lot of dry road difference, but the 3's are better in the rain and they seem to be wearing a bit better so far.

Wow. If you kill k60 in 4k you must beat out big blocks in about 100 miles.
Im headed out around the country, new front. Ill see what I get. When I ride them into the wear bars its usually around 11g. Just took this one off at 8. Worn, but not close to the wear bars.

Nah- I get about 3500-4000 out of TKCs and usually a little more from 908RRs. That just seems to be about what I get regardless of the tires or bikes.

It will be interesting to see what you get on your trip. I'd guess less than what you usually do as you get out into less crowded areas for so long.

Interesting how people have different tire experiences....

On my SE, Big Blocks, as little as 1400, the most was 1900

    K60,,,, around 6000
