Some neat stuff near today's tag. Bet I've ridden past this 100 times without noticing it.

Nothing overly intersting here-- just a visual clue for the tag :D

How can you live with such primitive technology? 3

Here- I'll dumb it down for the unfortunate apple users.

If this doesn't work, lmk and I can probably make it dumber.

And I apologize if seeing a full screen causes anyone spatial discomfit :lol3

always had a love for the VF1000. When I was very new to bikes, someone I worked with told me that classic bikes are the best and showed me a highly modified one with a single sided swinger on in and I fell in love. Always wondered what they are like to drive. I had a VFR800 for a long time and actaully regret selling that bike. Pre vtech it was the smoothest motor I have ever sampled!

Interesting day. I also found an actual NJ cotton field as well as (I was told) a NASA satellite/missile tracking station at an unusual location.

The pre-VFR VFs have their own character, mostly because they have a 360 degree (aka big bang) crank. VFRs have 180 degree cranks. Except the RC30 and RC45, which were also 360 degree motors. Not saying it's better, but it feels and sounds different than a VFR.

    Magical either way :D

My father bought a house in WNY that was at one time housing on a former Nike Missile Base. When you wandered into the woods there were old building that were part of operations and admin. Was pretty cool.

I haven't stopped by there in a few years so I don't know if it's still there, but there's an old cold warrior tracking radar here https://goo.gl/maps/MCKkwmJJJLD2

Hey, remember the North America TOR game? The egg has been all over, including Oklahoma recently.

It is now located in Arkansas, if anyone is interested in a road trip to bring it back to the Northeast!

Anyone interested in riding Baja someday? Bajaboundmoto.com is just one tour that I found that looks pretty good. A 5 day adventure with hotels, food, support truck and a rental bike is $2,600. Airfare to San Diego and beer is not included. More research is necessary, but I definitely want to go in the next couple of years.
