I'm thinking of starting a regional TOR game so that I don't have to be that clever about figuring out the tags, and so that I don't have to go too far or risk the embarrassment of getting Bruced. I mean, sometimes it takes over an hour or two to get to a tag in New Jersey.

Such a big state. And it is really scary around New York City, where all those city slickers live, and some of the buildings are way too big. And I certainly don't want to go too far away from familiar surroundings. I might get lost. And I certainly don't want to go up into Sussex, where there are mountains, twisty roads, and even wild animals. Very scary.

What do you think? We have convenience stores and strip malls and Route 22 in the SP/W/W area. Would be perfect. And it's nice and flat.

And I would allow a mascot!

I'm thinking a region like the Highlands, or a tri county tag, or a county tag, or a Twp. tag, or just a neighborhood tag, or a tag I play with my imaginary friend - I may just have my own tag I never put out, I can look at it all day like a trophy.
HOW ABOUT PLAYING THE GAME LIKE IT WAS ORIGINALY DEVELOPED? All of NJ, no sticks, pictures only, keep it moving and enjoy.
Oh the rain, when will it stop..........

You can start as many Tag-O-Rama games as you want.

But the whole state TOR is mostly a North Jersey TOR anyway.
It seems that most of you do not want to ride down here either.

The only thing that makes it tough is not being able to use the same tags between each game (aka retagging).
Like the State can not use Absecon Lighthouse, and the South can not use Cape May Lighthouse.
Other than that you could have as many regional "niche, selfish, it's about what I want" games as you desire.

I am content to ride to old tags myself.
Not that I don't want to get a current tag, but there is life before, after, and especially during TOR.
Riding to old tags gives me a chance to ride some place different all the time without having to worry about rushing to a tag, get my picture, and then rushing home to post it.
I can enjoy my ride at my own pace.

So play by these rules or start your own game.
But one renegade game is more than enough for this state.

It also appears there are not many Southern riders around for you Northerners to worry about anyway.
I could guess at reasons, but they would only be assumptions.

New Jersey already has a reputation, and these comments about division only help confirm that.

I think some of this nonsense has already driven people away from this game.
    I know I have thought about it ! ! ! ! !
I can think of some names that I haven't seen here in quite a while.

My point: "Just play the game !"...

This state is nice for riding for so many different reasons.
    You have:
    Twisties in the North-West,
    Urban in the North-East,
Flat straight Farmland in the South-West,
and the Shore in the South-East.

I have seen great tags and pictures from all of these areas on this thread.

    Here it is.....

Keeping with the revolutionary theme... This one is a PIP. This house is one of the oldest in its region (still in the north). Used to serve cold ones here :freaky and at one time it housed LEO's :chace ....... Enjoy the ride!!!

PC, with all due respect, that just isn't true. Look at the maps for 1-100, 101-200, and 201-300. There is a pretty good distribution of tags throughout the state, some very good ones in the South. Some of us worked pretty hard to make sure the tag got moved around when it stalled in one place too long.

PC, get up North and scout out some of the tags. You will be pleasantly surprised.

    PC, Matchbox,
you should keep in mind that Doc is around his kids a lot... they are filled with sarcasm (just like mine), and they past it onto him :rofl he wasn't serious or he was drunk when he posted the Scotch Plains/Westfield/Watchung TOR request :lol3

PC, I like to join you on your Bruce trip if you don't mine - i like this idea of visiting old tags.. how many can we visit in one day going around gs state?

What are the chances someone will get this tag within 3 pages of needless posts?

I for one could care less about a southern state game. In fact, I could care less about any of the other games. I can watch them if I want and subscribe. But all this cross thread posting is making this thread a candidate for Jo Mamma. It sucks. Stop posting about the game in the south. This game has been changed for the worse, no doubt.

Anyone else remember when there would be two or three tags dropped and picked up on the same page? Back when all this pointless posting took place in JM where it belongs?

Actually, I was, to a certain extent. The game has taken some bad turns, including stealing tags from newbies who did a decent ride up into the sticks, to be foiled by a stupid duplicate sign and a greedy grabber. Not the way the game should be played.

And stealing a chunk of a state for a private little TOR game is just as bad.

I think your new internet name should be 2 BAD HABITS. Not sure what the first one was, but I know the second one.

Oh yeah, the requisite emoticon.....:puke1 :puke1

Sense of humor, my friend? And when are you going to actually get a tag, instead of contributing to the twittering? You don't have the Iraq excuse anymore, you know!

I am hoping for Saturday, August 8th.
The only thing that would stop me is the weather.
I'll post my "plan" a few days before that.
I'm looking forward to trying out some twisties. :thumb

Thanks Bad Habit! With the weather - the park was quiet.... so I figured I'd give it a whirl! The looks on the people jogging / walking was priceless though! :evil Guess they don't see a lot of bike traffic down there!! :lol3
