Can the 60csx compass be used in the vertical position? Just wondering as the mounting position on my bike and boat woud be vertical. Cant find this answer anywhere.

Never mind................ Figured out I need to use with compass off for navigating to wapoints. i.e. daymarkers

But just in case you do want to use the compass sometime: GPS has to be held level to use the compass.

The compass function itself needs to be used when horizontal, IIRC. It's in the user manual, and I'm assuming you found it.

When underway, the GPS will generate a direction based on the bearing between the recorded positions it receives. So if you are travelling at any kind of speed more than a crawl, it is pretty accurate.
