I've got a Zumo wired up to the connector on my Multistrada. Had the excess wiring shoved up behind the headlight. It never really was very secure, so I've pulled it out and can't find a decent way of getting it back up there. Can I just cut the wires that I don't need and seal with liquid electrical tape? I'm tired of fiddling with these things I never use!

    Yes.

If you want to get fancy there's a whole thread on removing the extra unneeded wiring: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/garmin-zumo-590-cradle-butchery-the-how-to.976812/

I'm late to the thread, but this may help if anyone else is scrolling through asking the same question.
