I was planning on attending the ride on the 23rd. I haven't reached out yet, but I'm not quite sure what they mean by not having a loud bike. I'd be bring a drz400s with a big gun exhaust. Either way I'd like to attend. I'd be coming from the Galesburg area.

This year Saturday will be like before. You can probably get two loops in before the 12:30 cut off time. Maybe three if you ride like 2wheels. :)
Lunch will be served as part of your entry fee.

On Sunday the plan is to have a dual sport class that leaves after the last enduro rider and follows the same course as the enduro. The entry fee will be less then the enduro too as you are not racing for the coveted plastic trophy. ;)

As usual, any profits will be donated to charity.

If you think it's to loud then it probably is.

There will not be a sound test if that helps.

Just keep it quiet around the houses.

You were still ugly back then...jeesh :lol3
Let's hope my throttle cable doesn't stick wfo again. And maybe this year someone might help pull me up hills, or better yet I actually ride up them:imaposer

I'm looking forward to this ride, it's always a good one. I'll be doing bike maintenance this morning. Rally miles sure take their toll on the bikes. Well worth it though.

I mean, I don't think it's crazy loud. It's a drz400s with an aftermarket exhaust. What types of bikes typically ride in the Saturday portion?

Everything from enduro bikes to dual sport bikes.

No one is going to check it.

Gotcha. This would be my first time participating and what I gathered from the WFO website is that it is an event rather than a competition. I could be wrong on that. I'm very familiar with dual sports, but not so much enduros.

Saturday is a dual sport ride. No competition.

Sunday is the enduro which is a go fast competition. However on Sunday there will be a dual sport class that is not racing, is not scored but does follow the exact course the enduro uses.

It's really not that hard but it's more single track then Saturday uses.

Well if anyone is doing this for the first time I wouldn't mind meeting up at least up until the start. I will probably just ride my bike to the start area from Galesburg.

I'll be there as well on Saturday. It's one of my favorite rides of the year.

I'm hearing more off road and less asphalt this year but I haven't seen the new route yet.
