I have absolutely LOVED looking at all the pictures this thread has to offer! Awesome! I sincerely hope that one day soon I can add some pictures of my own here as a new female rider!
(Taking the MSF BRCourse at the end of June...can't wait that long to ride, so I'm getting my permit this week and hoping someone will give a girl a hand!)

Seeing a lot of V Strom's as well! It's one of the bikes that's been recommended to me, and after seeing all the pics here...hmmm. :)

The V Strom is a wonderful bike, I put 33,000 miles on mine, but, for a new rider, smaller and lighter might feel more secure for a while. There are great choices in the 250cc dual sport class and they'll take you anywhere you want to go.

Wife and I enjoyed some camping and off-roading this weekend near Natural Bridge, VA. She did a little tree trimming with front end of her bike and given this was her first fall and came up laughing about the whole incident was a total relief.

We had a blast and can't wait to get out there and find some more dirt to throw our bikes around in.

I am a genuine, adventure riding woman... but, I really don't have the "adventure" bike for it. I do however, like to travel and have done so quite a bit on my current and previous bikes. I hope to someday get a real adventure bike!

For the meantime, here's a few pics:

I've posted these elsewhere, but they have to go here, also.

Inmate Barbsironbutt with her 13 year-old daughter. They just completed 5500 miles in ten riding days two-up on a scooter. The torch has been passed to a new generation!

My adventure woman just starting out

She's just getting her (2) wheels under her in this photo.

Her first trip of any distance. Taking a break to cool off and hydrate. Unfortunately many more pictures were lost when the camera these were taken with was stolen before I got them downloaded.
