Tuna, You know I attend that auction yearly. One thing I can tell you is that its hard to sell, or at least get a better price on BOS only bikes. So, I concur with Clay.

    Greetings,

This was the best thread I found to post this.

I'm doing a solo ride from Bluffton, S.C. down the GA coast line (well the best I can), I was wondering if anyone wanted to link up, or hang out?

Check out my sig for my current tour.

I may ride into Savannah this Monday and visit Honda Yamaha of Savannah (Abercorn ST) to have my chain tightened. I'm also looking at DVS Motorsports also. What do you'all think of these shops?

I may ride into Brunswick, GA on that same day. It's about 101 miles.

I have a question about Georgia Titles for vehicles.

I am an Illinois resident where all types of vehicles require a title. Passenger vehicles, trailers, cycles - street and dirt, ATV's, boats, canoes and kayaks

In the past even though ATVs were to be titled there was no follow up or check by local officials. Starting 2014 in addition to a title they must have a registration sticker attached and if you don't have one they take the ATV from you.

Local IL DMV office states if I can get a "Bill of Sale" from somebody in a state that does not require ATV's to be titled that they will issue me a title. Georgia appears to be one of those states they mention.

They advise even to the extent if I would say I sold the ATV to a Georgia resident and bought it back immediately and get a "Bill of Sale" that that would work.

Question to Georgia residents. Is this true that Georgia does not require ATV's to be titled or registered?

I work in my county public safety building and even though I have owned this for awhile, VIN was checked and it is clear.

If so, maybe I can find a resident from Georgia to assist. I know this is an Adventure bike website but many on here have ATV's also.

Wow, IL has gone crazy. I guess they wan't their hand in anything you own these days for tax & registration purposes. :eek1

You are correct that GA does not issue any kind of title for an ATV. ATV's along with dirt only dirt bikes are only sold with a bill of sale and no type of registration is required.
