    Title and drivers license.

State computer will verify your insurance coverage.

Never had an issue with needing anything else.

title and drivers license and at least for me I had to have paperwork (received within 30 days) showing proof of insurance. Yes they are supposed to be able to check it online but the last few bikes I had they wanted to see the actual paperwork for the insurance that showed it had been insured within the last 30 days or something..

the only time there's an issue is if they can't find the bike in their database (i.e. it's not a street legal bike) then they will sometimes want you to fill out the other stuff (the inspection).

No, just the title for GA. Having proof of insurance is a good idea.

If you are buying a bike from out of state there may be some other regulations in that state. For instance North Carolina requires a notary to witness the signatures on the title at the sale. So, if you are buying a bike on a Sunday in Po-Dunk NC then you may have a bit of a challenge. However during the week and on Saturdays Notaries are plentiful, it just requires extra time...

Thanks for this I did not see this in my research and am buying the bike from my friend in NC and driving it back to GA to register..so we will have to go to a notary with the title to complete the sale i suppose or actually exchange money in front of notary?

Call your tag office before hand if you have any questions. The only time I've ever needed anything other than the title was when I bought a bike that had never been street titled, then I had to do the other forms. I've bought bikes from NC and just turned in the title, no questions asked. Your tag office may do things differently.
