No, I don't burn wood but would love to if I had a means. All the homes I've ever lived in have been heated by gas or electricity. I know what you mean about burning wood and sitting around a fire. It brings out the cave men in us! :kumbaya

You know, down in Florida, they cut up cypress stumps and make clocks out of them. That would be cool for a big piece of oak (or is it maple) like that.

It is Red Oak same as most oak flooring beautiful when finished. We have a clock that belonged to my wife's parents stored in one of the garages the clock dosen't work anymore but remembering the shape I think it might be cypress. I had planned on installing a new clock in it but never materialized need to dig it out. Making a clock is a great idea!

9 years and two days I started playing this GATOR game with my first tag. Crazy I'm still here! I've made some really great friends because of it.

I was just 10 minutes late.

Since I'm a good sport, this tag belongs to wrangler, although he did have his wife post up the picture as soon as he took it:nono. It was nice to meet you guys (Wrangler and Kliff), and I look forward to where the next tag will be. I'm going to have to try this place when it's open.

Forget everything in the above thread. I got it by default, so the new tag will be posted tomorrow!

January will make 5 years for me. I wandered onto this forum looking to check up on a friend from a Jeep Forum who had been sick and not responding to private messages.... and saw how vast this place was. Haven't been bored with this site since. Hell, I've practically left the Jeep site alone (despite being a moderator... LMAO) and loitered in here. Good people here. Very good people.

ok the food is always very good here - but i still think a week or two at Jub's house would be a lot more fun - esp with all the critters & or animals

I most certainly agree with you and still prefer your idea and that option as well, however, El Jubber has been noticeably silent and missing in this discussion.
Probably too busy with the Corvette forums and duties.

Oh contraire - he doesn't have time for this - just think of all the things he has to prepare - ex - what does a pig eat - how much will a pig eat in two weeks - does walmart sell pig feed - does a pig need a blanket? - makes me tired just typing this - if i know anything about the Jubber his little fingers are worn out from Google - the back of his truck is full of everything - vette is waxed and full of gas - sure he wants all his friends to take several test drives - oh and don't forget the parade permit's - one for 2017 and one for 2018 - hang in there Jub - i'll bring my own sleeping bag + Nxt is bringing plenty of fire wood - come on folks - lets help Jub make the last week of 2017 and the first week of 2018 be one he will never forget
