Can't take your bike down there... well maybe you can, they were doing work on the sidewalks when we visited. There are some great paths along the rivers, it is amazingly quiet and green down there for being in the heart of the city. [IMG][IMG]

You are lucky SlowRide, there are so many in a group near you, down around Athens and over to SC. Gonna have to take a long day ride to get a few of those.

I think you can find just about all of them in the GATOR.

Mitch, this one is near you. Just off of Canasauga Rd.:

Found this cutie while tagging yesterday... Lil Sturgis in Warm Springs is a cool place to visit. The museums, the shops, all kinds of good stuff. There is something going on there last weekend of the month:freaky:trp:dg so planning a ride there for that, join us? This is reportedly the shortest and "slopiest" bridge in Georgia.

Found 2 bridges yesterday whilst tagging... a superior riding day! (impressed with the vocabulary?:evil I am)

This is the longest and oldest bridge in Georgia. Says it's in Woodbury, but it isn't, it's in Imilac, behind the deer processor (gotta love Georgia).

While we were taking pics we had the beast parked on the rickety boards of the ramp leading to the bridge. From below, we hear a woman ask "that thing won't leak oil into my car, will it?" She had her open convertible parking underneath the rickety boards so she wouldn't have to walk too far to place her tootsies in the river. WTF? Don't give a shit about your car... we hope it's not leaking oil. I kinda hope it dripped a drop for me...

Shouldn't be too big a problem, IF the gate is open. I've seen it left open most times I go by there, but occasionally I see it closed.

Turn off of Hwy 52 on the east side of FT Mtn onto Conasauga Rd. Its only about 1/2 mile or less on the left. Look down the road bank and you'll see the little bridge hiding there in the woods.

Mitch drives within a half mile of it frequently, maybe he can do some recon on that gate for you.
