I don't see any covered bridges on your last ride. I guess you just need to go out, do some more riding and find some more covered bridges
You do you like the Sprint?
"Branching out" but still looking for bridges For me the Sprint has been totally awesome. Since I got it I have already logged 30k miles. I have taken virtually every possible route between Savannah and Atlanta. The only thing lacking is an off-road capability.
Awesome views and surreal scenery
Banks Lake National Wildlife Refuge
Georgia Route 100, West Georgia's best kept secret. More to follow...
Glad I stumbled upon this thread. It will give another reason to get out and ride.
Jub, did you see Ray Charles in Albany?
The Ray Charles statue/fountain in Albany by the river is "noteworthy" since his music is being played.
I have not. I'll put that on my "too see" list. Albany is one town I have not fully explored yet.
I think it would be cool to have a "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Georgia style" thread!
Small world! I'm in Athens and I've been shopping around for a trusted place that slap on a tire for me and some other work. I've been a little nervous because I'm a woman and I haven't had the best experience with mechanics ( car wise at least) trying to over charge or talk down to me etc. But I've heard good things about them from a few people I'll be checking those guys out very soon.
Welcome to the club and I hope you have a good experience. Don't be a stranger and join the other Georgia inmates on our various threads... like Georgia Tag-O-Rama..
I think it would be cool to have a "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Georgia style" thread! :d
I think you are on to something Jub..........start the thread and we'll be sure to subscribe and add many interesting and tasty places. Cheers!!
Thanks for the welcome. Glad I can finally stop lurking and participate in things. I'll definitely join tag soon once I get a half way decent camera... or a phone with a camera. Being poor sucks lol
Day Tripping Through Gawga.
Started my commute from the ATL to the coast this big Indian stands guard at McEachern's football field in Powder Springs. The clouds started rolling in from the west so I headed southeast..... Sunshine, finally.
Saw this east of Barnesville on Johnstonville Rd.
Picked up Ga 57 and paused in Irwinton
I used to "commute" from Marrietta to Savannah 3 out of 4 weekends to keep my sanity. Then one day I just couldn't go back. Found a cheap place in the country and simplified.. Now I need to go find a covered bridge.
Hey Ernbo, think I will start a thread on DD&D. I might go out this Sunday and look for a place!
Please be sure and post a link in this thread if you do. There is so much content, I seldom check the entire site.
