We just moved 14 months ago into Koblenz and the first thing I did when we found a nice place, was to drive or RT here, get German plates and insurance and enjoy this area which is full of nice roads to explore.
Really looking forward to meet other members and have some rides together.

Just thought I'll add my info.
I'm a newbie to the adventure riding/bike. But about to pick up a Africa Twin in March.
I'm based in Dresden, Germany, am looking for where one can actually go that a bike to learn to ride off road.
Any one in the saxony region who knows of any places?

Finding this thread only a year late.
I only ride a streetbike atm, but might as well write here. I am expat living in Berlin and would not say not to hookup or something. :super

I am in Kassel. Riding a Honda CB650F with a newly minted license. Between language school, my duties as house servant/maintenance man, and previously not having a valid motorcycle license, it has been difficult to get out and meet other cyclists. Interested in meeting up with others, when possible.

To the Webmaster: Hmm, I see 48 pages in this thread. Any chance to make a Sticky with a list of interested riders and their locations?

    Hey guys,
I am living in Berlin for a few months with my F800GS (and also some roomates ;-))
Need some advice for tours and routes in this area...
my home town is actually in the Sauerland so I am used to some hills.
But I bet here are also some nice spots here. Maybe even some dual sport terrain?

    Cheers
    Patrick

    Hey,
to catch hills aruond Berlin will be tricky. mainly flat areas around there. btw ... the season for MC travelling is nearly gone in Germany. Starts getting dark and wet now.
BUT go northward, you´ll find lots of backroards, probably if lucky legal dual sports Terrain.
Offroad riding ... better cross the border to Poland and follow the Oder river to North. there´s the better place for legal offroading.
