    Hotel reports:

Wassen Switzerland: Hotel Gerig. Right at the bottom of Sustenpass, bar/restaurant on site, gas station in town, grocery store next door.

reasonably priced, nice clean rooms, good food, family owned for generations:

    Owners speak good English.

Ajaccio, Corsica: Hotel Kalliste. Sort of down town, nice updated old building with interesting architectural details inside using original stonework, Code access bike parking for free a 1/2 block away, good food options nearby.

Aosta, Italy, Gr. St. Bernard Pass: Hotel Albergo Italia. Have to stay here just for the spectacular scenery. walking distance to Swiss Side, Nice old place ( built in 50's I think), Nice rooms, Family owned and run, Not a bad value considering where it is. Very good food and service
