Get A Life Tour, part 2:
In spite of Hurricane Irma and its evil spawn, I'm extending my CO trip a few days. Sam is a great host at his place at Heeney on the Green Mountain Reservoir north of Silverthorn. The riding from his doorstep is spectacular. No pavement necessary.

Found our stray Mountain Beaver a good home. He (?) She (?) now is going to live with my grandniece in Denver.

And curious if anyone will be going to Aspen? I need something picked up from town and want to make it super easy on em.

Am between Limon, CO and Burlington, CO on the high plains on I-70, heading east. The view is pretty in its own way, but is a bit of a letdown after the Rockies.
For the record, there is easily a week or two of great dual sport riding very near Sam’s place, ranging from easy scenic to very technical. The CDST route passes through very close too, and he & I rode a piece of that. Sam welcomes visitors, his place can handle a dozen riders, he’s a great host and it’s a great hangout. Next year perhaps?

I see a CADS clubhouse there. A little rough, but still a lot of potential.

Sams place at Heeney already IS the unofficial NADS (gNarly Adventure Dual Sport) clubhouse.

IMG_2483.JPG One of Waybill's favorite places, the Aspins on Last Dollar Road. I was lucky enough to ride this road twice. Once with Bill and Dave, and once alone, my last day

Bill invested in a complete new set offroadworthy tires for his Tahoe. So he persuaded Dave, Jeannine, & I to take a little ride up & over Imogene Pass to Telluride.

Scariest ride of my life, and apparently spooked Bill a bit too.
